Writing and recording sessions for this album lasted for almost two years,
making it the longest time The Offspring have ever spent working on an album.
Although drummer Atom Willard (who left in July 2007) was still a member of
the band during the recording, session musician Josh Freese actually handled
the drum tracks, like he did on the previous album Splinter. Due to contract
issues with Geffen Records, Willard was not supposed to do recording on the
album and later decided to leave the band and continue his duties in Angels
& Airwaves full time whilst Face to Face drummer Pete Parada joined the band
just in time for the tour.

Після п’ятирічної мовчанки The Offspring абсолютно неочікувано випускають альбом Rise And Fall Rage And Grace. Адже останнім повноцінним лонг-плеєм був Splinter , випущений 2003-го року. Зроблино все стабильно і в кращих панк-традиціях, адже якби випускали альбом якісь сопляки то б про це говорилося і це б було у всіх на слуху. А тут все куди інакше.
Також міг розчарувати звук, але альбом затикає писок всім скептикам . Є ще порох у порохівницях і панк у душах цих старих пердунів ! Вони запалюють так сам як і 20 років тому. Справжній, 100 % панк-рок. Справжній драйв. Справжній протест проти всього гівна і всіх гівнюхів. The Offspring рулять не дивлячись на власний вік, на навколишні зміни. З чи без Рона Уелті чи Атома , Декстер і Нудлз можуть ще втерти носа багатьом псевдо-панк гівнюхам. Альбом з'явиться у крамницях лише 17 червня. Насолоджуйтеся!
